Via di Mezzo
Completely refurbished and renovated in July 2007, this delightfully-decorated little house offers a romantic hideaway on the edge of medieval Barga, yet is within easy walking distance of the modern centre.
Set on two floors with wooden-beamed ceilings and terracotta floors throughout, the accomodation is fresh and airy but retains a traditional feel.
On the ground floor, the entrance opens directly into an open-plan living space with kitchen area, dining area and single sofa bed. The kitchen area has an attractive arched window which offers views to the Appennines.
Opposite the entrance is a wooden, spiral staircase and a window looking over a wooded valley. An external staircase leads up the side of the house to the upper level where there is a large double bedroom and en-suite shower room with electronically-controlled skylight. Windows offer views of the wooded valley on one side and of Barga's Duomo on the other.
There is a washing machine, central heating and TV (no satellite TV).
While there is no dedicated parking area, parking is normally available on the road below the property, about 100m away. Restaurants and cafes are within easy walking distance.
